FAQs
What is DC509?
DC509 is the Inland NW DEFCON group. The focus is to get together on a regular basis and interact with other InfoSec enthusiasts, have occasional workshops, stimulate thought-provoking conversation, and build an (in)security community in our area. No level of "hacker" knowledge is required and everyone is welcome regardless of age, gender, race, etc. You can find us at dc509.com, on Twitter at @DCG509, or check us out at the DC509 Facebook Group. If none of those suit your fancy, you can sign up for our mailing list instead.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, this is an all-ages group. That said, we request that all attendees regardless of age/maturity respect that this is a space provided for learning and engagement.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Expect typical downtown parking.
What can I bring into the event?
Locks to tinker with, a device to play with, a laptop to hack with, etc. Please be respectful of 1) how much table space you take up however and 2) the fact that we are meeting in a public spaces.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Any inquiries can be sent to info@dc509.com.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, we are using EventBrite to get a more accurate RSVP number as we recognize not everyone is on social media.
